Trademark & IP Lawyers in Navi Mumbai

Protecting brands, works and inventions.

Your brand, your content and your inventions are assets — and unregistered assets are the easiest to lose. Expert Jurist handles trademark and copyright registration, oppositions and rectification, licensing and assignment, and infringement action, with advice sized as sensibly for a first-time founder as for an established enterprise. We help you secure rights early and enforce them decisively when someone crosses the line.

Intellectual property is the rare asset that grows more valuable as your business grows — and more vulnerable at exactly the same time. A brand that no one noticed at launch becomes worth protecting once customers trust it, by which point an infringer or an earlier filer can turn your own success against you. The founders who avoid this are simply the ones who registered early, documented ownership, and treated their brand and creations as the assets they are.

We make that straightforward. We clear and register trademarks, secure copyrights, coordinate patent and design protection, and put licensing and assignment on a proper footing — and when someone crosses the line, we move quickly with notices, marketplace takedowns and, where needed, court action. Our advice is sized to your stage: lean and practical for a young company protecting its first brand, comprehensive for an enterprise managing a portfolio.

Enforcement, too, is a matter of judgment: not every imitation is worth a lawsuit, and not every threat deserves a full-blown fight. We help you pick the battles that protect real value — moving hard where your rights and your market are genuinely at stake, and resolving the rest efficiently — so your legal spend tracks your commercial priorities.

What we handle

Frequently asked questions

How long does trademark registration take in India?

If there are no objections or oppositions, registration typically takes roughly a year to eighteen months. The good news is that protection dates back to your filing date, and you may use the ™ symbol as soon as you file — you don't have to wait for the certificate to start building your brand.

What's the difference between the ™ and ® symbols?

You can use ™ the moment you file (or even to assert an unregistered claim), signalling that you treat the mark as your trademark. You may use ® only once the mark is actually registered. Using ® before registration is improper, so we guide you on the correct symbol at each stage.

Should I run a search before adopting a brand name?

Absolutely — it's the cheapest risk-reduction step you can take. A clearance search reveals identical or confusingly similar marks already on the register or in use, so you don't invest in branding you may have to abandon or defend. We run the search and give you a registrability opinion before you commit.

Do I need to register in more than one class?

Trademarks are registered against classes of goods and services. If your business spans, say, both a product and related services, you may need multiple classes to be properly protected. We map your current and planned business to the right classes so there are no gaps a competitor can exploit.

Someone is copying my brand. What are my options?

Often a well-drafted cease-and-desist notice resolves matters quickly. Where it doesn't, we file infringement or passing-off actions and seek interim injunctions to stop the misuse. For online copying, a marketplace or platform takedown is frequently the fastest first strike while the larger action proceeds.

Is my logo or content automatically protected by copyright?

Copyright subsists in original creative works automatically on creation, but registration provides valuable evidence of ownership and makes enforcement far smoother. For logos, both trademark and copyright angles can apply. We advise on the right mix and register what should be registered.

How do I stop counterfeits of my product on Amazon or Flipkart?

Registered rights let you use marketplace brand-protection and takedown mechanisms to remove counterfeit and infringing listings, often within days. We enrol your rights, file the takedowns, and escalate to legal action against repeat or large-scale infringers.

Can you help me license or assign my IP?

Yes. We draft licensing, assignment and franchising agreements that clearly define scope, territory, royalties, quality control and termination — so you monetise your IP without losing control of it. Poorly drafted licences are a common way founders unintentionally give away value.

I received a trademark objection / opposition. What now?

An objection from the examiner or an opposition by a third party isn't the end of the road — it calls for a well-reasoned reply and, if needed, a hearing. We prepare the response, cite the right grounds and prior use, and argue the matter to protect your application.

Do you assist with patent and design protection too?

Yes. We support patent filings (coordinating with technical agents for drafting and prosecution) and design registrations for the visual look of products. We'll tell you honestly which form of protection — patent, design, trademark or copyright — actually fits what you've created.
